Refund Policy

1.Tuition Refund:
A $250 administration fee will be applied to all refund requests.


Refunds before the start date

 

  • If a student cancels 30 days or more before the contract  start date, 75 percent of the tuition fees paid will be refunded.

  • If a student cancels less than 30 days before the contract start date, 60 percent of the tuition fees paid will be refunded.


​Refunds after the start date

  • If a student cancels or is withdrawn within 5 calendar days of the contract start date, 50 percent of the tuition fees paid will be refunded.

  • No refunds are given for cancellations or withdrawals when more than 5 days of the program have been completed. Refunds on revised starting dates are based on the original contract start dates.


2.Homestay Refund:

Refunds before arrival

(i)If a student cancels 14 days or more before the homestay begins, a full refund, less a $200 homestay placement fee will be refunded.

(ii)If a student cancels less than 14 days before the homestay begins, paid homestay fees minus a cancellation fee equal to 2 weeks’ homestay fees and a $200 homestay placement fee will be refunded. 
 

Refunds after arrival

After commencement of homestay, students are required to provide a written notice a minimum of 28 days before withdrawing from the homestay program. Under no conditions will refunds be provided for periods of homestay already used.

3.Visa Denials:

If a visa denial prevents the student from attending the English language programs, tuition fees and deposits minus a $250.00 administration fee will be refunded upon submission of written proof of denial at least 7 calendar days before the program begins.

 

4.Refund Payments:

For approved refunds, payments are issued within 30 days of notification from the student of cancellation, drop, or withdrawal. Refunds will be made via the original payment method. Cash: If the student’s payment of fees was made with cash, refund will be made by means of a cheque, Interac e-transfer, or wire transfer. Credit Card: If the student’s payment of fees was made with a credit card, fees will be refunded back to the credit card originally used for payment. In that case, the 3% CC fee will be applied. Wire Transfer: If the student’s payment of fees was made with a wire transfer, fees will be refunded back to the bank account originally used for payment. In that case, $50 fee will be applied per transaction.
