Orientation

Studying in a new country can be both exciting and overwhelming. To help international students with their transition to Canada and ANNE’S Language House, we offer orientation programs on your first day at ALH. 

​

General Orientation to studying and living in Canada

Weather, clothing, food, dental and medical information, health insurance, local transit, etc.

 

Academic Orientation

Testing and placement procedures, course structure and levels, requirements for progression to a higher level, course assessment criteria, requirements for certificates, course and program schedules, policy and procedure on attendance and participation, etc.

Counselling

In-house counseling is available for admission, academic advice and homestay.

In admission to in-house counselling, referral services are available for housing, legal advice and career counselling.

 

Advice and assistance are also provided on local facilities, services and amenities, general banking information, personal safety and care of valuables, local places of worship, etc.
